I have always loved the big porches on Martha’s Vineyard. On a warm evening, neighbors settle into rocking chairs and talk about the week: what happened in Washington, what it means for their families, what someone read that morning. Nobody lectures and nobody is left out. It is casual and it is smart, and everyone leaves a little better informed than when they sat down.
I started Front Porch News, from my home in Miami, Florida, to bring that feeling to everyone. Too much of the most important reporting sits behind paywalls, jargon, or an endless scroll. Many people simply don’t have the time or access to keep up, and they get left out of conversations that shape their lives.

To open up access to the issues that matter most, and serve them in digestible bites anyone can enjoy.
Every Monday, we read across trusted newsrooms and pull together the week’s biggest stories. Each one gets a short, plain-English summary, a line on why it matters, and links to the original reporting so you can go deeper whenever you like.
Each edition is drafted with the help of AI research tools, then read, checked, and approved by me before it goes out. If we ever get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
